We all love our pets very dearly and even the thought of losing one could make us shudder. But sometimes the unthinkable happens. Whether it’s a gate that’s been left open or an intentional freeing, our pets are often given the chance to get out and roam and explore the neighborhood and most times, they come right back tails wagging and happy to see you!
But what happens when they don’t come back?
First of all, don’t panic. This is the time for calm and rational decisions. If you are 100% positive that your pet is no longer on your property or in your home, and is not coming home when being called, it would be a good idea to begin calling some of the local animal shelters and rescues.
